My definition of integrity is, doing the right thing even when no one is watching. I don't know maybe I heard that phrase somewhere from someone else on the net, either way I completely agree with it and give them all the credit. There will be no stealing anything over here.
Here's my story, within a week, I ordered numerous items, from clothes, to books, to personal care items. If you read my blog titled GOD's Continued Favor, you'll be familiar with what I'm talking about. Anyhow, once I received my items, all arriving daily, I realized I needed to return quite a few. So I collected all I purchased and off to the shipping center I went. I'll refrain from saying names because honestly, I don't want to be implicated in any mess...lol So, I get to the shipping store and had a ton of packages, a ton of return labels, and of course I got all confused. I was putting labels on the wrong items! Bottom line is, it was a doozy! Nevertheless, I knew the receiving company would figure it all out because I surely couldn't and quite frankly, I had one of those days. Well honestly, I was having one of those weeks! Remember my blog, Favor On All Sides, that tells you what I've been experiencing. Anyhow, off I went from the store leaving the receiving company with the mess I created. LORD help me...sigh.
Not too long ago, I realized the company refunded me for every item I purchased!!! Huh???!!! Oh my LORD! They probably said, "This is a mess, we're over her!" and just decided to refund me for everything! I'm sure that approach was probably easier. I'd spent about 4-5 hundred dollars and was returning about $300! Yup that's right, I got all my money back while still having some of the items. Wow. I called them and told them, please recharge my card for 2 items which are in my possession. What a mess that I'm almost certain completely stressed them out!
Question: So now you tell me, was that favor or was it a test? Let me know your thoughts. Stop right here and decided what you think before reading on.
Well, when I called the company and asked them to charge my card because I have the items, the rep was so very pleasant. She said, "Oh no please keep the item and the refund. This is a sort of courtesy from the company because we value you." Needless to say I was a bit surprised. I wasn't completely shocked because I know how I receive sprinkles of favor from the Father. Thank You GOD. The best part of it all is she said, "May GOD really bless you. This is the first time in my 7 months working here have I gotten a call like this with someone saying please charge my card for an item you guys refunded me for. If only I can have all customers like you it would make my life great." Wow, now if that doesn't bless your whole entire socks off then I don't know what will!
Answer: It was favor and it was also a test! Whenever we're given the opportunity to get away with something we know isn't honest, GOD is watching to see if we will be upstanding and forthcoming. Integrity, is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
Thank You GOD, Thank You GOD, Thank-You-GOD!!! Not only did I pass the test, but once again, I've received the favor of GOD!
